1. Get a Realtor®

So what can the right agent do for you?  Buying a home usually requires dozens of forms, reports, disclosures, and other technical documents. As a knowledgeable expert, I will help you prepare the best deal, and avoid delays or costly mistakes.    I can help you work out a realistic idea of the home best suited to your needs - size, style, features, location, etc.  As an agent, I have access to all available homes in the multi-list system, can evaluate them in terms of your needs and affordability, and will not waste your time showing you unsuitable homes.  I am also a knowledgeable third party able to take emotions out of the equation to help you negotiate.

2. Obtain Mortgage Pre-Approval

Consulting a mortgage lender is one of the first steps you should undertake in the home buying process.  Nothing is more trying than falling in love with a home and then discovering you can't afford to buy it.  I work closely with local lenders that can help you through the process.  

3. Research Homes

Allow me to help you narrow the search and find the home that is right for you.  I can help you select the home in terms of location, neighborhood, size, and schools.  

4. Make an offer

While much attention is given to the asking price of a home, an offer to buy includes both the price and terms. In most cases, terms can represent thousands of dollars in additional value or additional costs.  This is why you need a trained professional to help guide you through this process.

5. Get the deal closed

Many deals fall apart before closing because the agent or lender fails to stay on top of the transaction.  I will work hard for you to get the deal closed in a timely manner.
